You've worked for several years to develop your professional resume. Now you’re ready for the next level. The VCU Executive MBA program — ranked the No. 9 global executive MBA program by CEO Magazine in 2017 — will provide you with the necessary skills to complement your work experience and accelerate your career. Designed for working professionals with at least five years of work experience, our alternating weekend schedule helps you balance professional and personal responsibilities.
As I researched various schools, the cohort demographic coupled with VCU’s schedule and cost were deciding factors. Based purely on the quality of VCU’s EMBA program, it’s difficult to justify the incremental cost charged by other schools. The module format is excellent — I am able to apply what I learn at my job nearly every day. For example, the program has given me confidence in linking business strategy to P&L drivers, which has been helpful when I present quarterly earnings and when I consider new initiatives to pursue. The results are definitely noticeable.
VCU Executive MBA students are high-caliber managers, executives and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds and industries.
Our dynamic, integrated curriculum evolves to stay ahead of the changing needs of global business. We approach issues by module topic, which better reflects the business world’s multidisciplinary demands.
The program emphasizes collaborative learning. Each semester, cross-functional student teams complete realistic consulting projects that culminate in the capstone strategic dilemma project. Near the end of your first year, you’ll embark on a 10-day international business trip to gain a first-hand understanding of international business practices.
The VCU Executive MBA faculty includes top business scholars and industry executives who are recognized nationally and internationally for their expertise. Our professors bring their unique business experience and insights to the classroom to ensure that students receive innovative, creative, relevant and dynamic course content.
