Scholarship and Grant Information

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, individual donors and industry partners, the VCU School of Business Foundation is able to offer funding for scholarships and grants. For university and other scholarship opportunities, visit VCU Financial Aid.

Current Student Scholarships

The School of Business current student scholarship application for the 2026-27 academic year will open in Jan. 2026.

To qualify for a School of Business scholarship, you must be a degree-seeking student currently enrolled in a business major, including those declared as Business Foundation. Most scholarships are awarded based on academic merit.

Awarded funds will be applied directly to each recipient’s tuition bill for the following academic year.

Grant Opportunities

Do you need funds to support a student initiative, research project or community event?
Apply for up to $10,000 in funding through the VCU Business Foundation Grant.

Who can apply: VCU School of Business faculty, staff, students and student organizations.

All student proposals — individual or organizational — must include a School of Business faculty or staff advisor to support the financial process.

Application period: Dec. 1, 2025 – Jan. 31, 2026

Application criteria:	Requests excluded from consideration:
Proposal must align with one or more pillars of the School of Business's strategic plan Maximum request of $10,000 per application All student submissions must include a School of Business faculty or staff advisor to support the financial process.	Student tuition scholarships or account holds Debt reduction or deficit funding Honorariums, stipends or salaries General operating expenses or budgetary shortfalls Applications from outside the VCU School of Business Organizations that violate VCU's Preventing and Responding to Discrimination policy

Incoming Freshman Scholarships

Incoming fall semester freshmen are automatically considered for School of Business scholarships based on information submitted as part of the admission application. No additional application is required. Make sure to apply by the scholarship deadline of Nov. 1.
