International programs at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business are designed to develop understanding, knowledge and skills for living and thriving in an interdependent, culturally diverse world.

Our programs include partnerships worldwide tailored to the needs of participating students and institutions. We continuously seek partnerships for graduate, undergraduate and study abroad opportunities around the globe.


International Consulting Program (ICP)

Open to: Undergraduate VCU students

VCU Business is pleased to announce the relaunch of the International Consulting Program (ICP). Spanning two countries and two consulting projects with real clients, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to earn 6 credits and add real work experience to their resume over the summer.

Global Perspectives Program

Open to: Undergraduate and graduate VCU students

Undergraduate and graduate students looking for a shorter-term outbound international experience may consider Global Perspectives.

This 10-day, 1-credit course gives students exposure to various Design Thinking elements, business practices, multidisciplinary collaborations and cultural excursions.

1+1 Graduate Programs

Open to: International graduate students

The 1+1 graduate program gives international students the opportunity to study in two countries while earning a master’s degree from VCU.

Participants complete the master's curriculum foundation courses at a partner university in their home country, followed by the remaining program courses at the VCU School of Business.

Upon successful completion of the program requirements, students earn a master’s degree in the areas of finance, marketing, information systems or decision analytics from VCU. Recruitment is managed by the university partners listed below.

2+2 Undergraduate Programs

Open to: International undergraduate students

The 2+2 undergraduate program gives international students the opportunity to study in two countries while earning a bachelor’s degree from VCU.

Participants spend the first two years at a university in their home country, followed by two years at the VCU School of Business. Recruitment is managed by the university partners listed below.

VCU-SIVA Certificate Program

Open to: International students

In this certificate program, students from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts travel to Richmond, Virginia, and receive intensive English language instruction through VCU’s Global Education Office. They also enroll in courses offered by the School of Business and the School of the Arts.
