The School of Business Professional Development Fund exists to support VCU Business students pursuing professional opportunities such as conferences, hackathons and case study competitions.
Networking and Mentorship
Initiated, sponsored and supported by the VCU Alumni Black Alumni Council, the Mentoring Circle connects current Black students with alumni mentors for one year, to promote and contribute to the recruitment and retention of Black students. Unlike a career-oriented mentoring program, the BAC Mentoring Circle provides a holistic approach to mentoring.
VCU Alumni sponsors, encourages and partners with many organizations that provide opportunities for professional development, networking, volunteering and friendship-building. Get involved by joining chapters associated with regions/cities and VCU schools, departments, athletic organizations, social and fraternal organizations, identity-based groups and other special-interest groups.
Connect with professionals in your areas of interest with ties to the VCU community. Ask them honest questions related to how they got to where they are, what challenges they've faced and what a typical day looks like.
Supporting Academic Student Success
Campus Learning Center services are available in a variety of formats. All Campus Learning Center services will be available in-person. The Office of Financial Aid provides a variety of services to help students afford higher education via grants, scholarships, work-study employment and loans. The Office of Financial Aid administers and distributes funds from federal, state, institutional and private fund sources.
Student Accessibility and Educational Opportunity (SAEO) is the designated office on VCU's Monroe Park Campus charged with fostering an environment where all students have equal access to the University's programs, services and activities.
The National Scholarship Office offers a range of services to VCU students and alumni who are interested in applying for competitive national and international scholarships and fellowships.
Peer-based support to help VCU students become stronger, more confident writers.
This fall, the Writing Center will offer in-person and online appointments Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. We will also offer just online appointments on Sundays, 12-6 p.m.
The Global Education Office (GEO) supports VCU’s internationalization goals by taking a holistic and integrated approach to high-impact global programming; by growing international student enrollment; and by enhancing international partnerships and collaborations to increase opportunities for students, faculty and staff.
The Office of the University Registrar supports VCU students, faculty, staff, alumni and families with services related to course registration and academic record-keeping. The VCU Financial Success Center by Virginia Credit Union is dedicated to helping both the VCU and Richmond communities achieve financial success. The center aims to increase the prominence of financial instruction, research and programming through VCU and beyond.

The purpose of this program is for VCU to be able to identify you by the name, gender and pronoun by which you identify. VCU will generally use this name for you when communicating to you and others.
The goal of Developing Men of Color (DMC) is to equip men of color undergraduates with the means and resources needed to thrive at VCU. DMC engages its members in peer-to-peer and faculty mentorship, professional development opportunities and, most importantly, provides a space for brotherhood. A critical aspect of the DMC student organization is a commitment to community service.
Military service members — and their families — are a valued and vital component of the VCU community. We work with veterans, active service members, spouses and dependents to ease the transition from military life to academics.
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) celebrates diversity, promotes inclusion and advocates for social justice. While serving as a resource for the entire VCU community, OMSA proudly specializes in supporting historically underrepresented groups.

RecWell provides a broad range of programs and services that support the well-being of our VCU community, including group exercise, outdoor adventure, intramural sports, personal training, aquatics, employment opportunities and much more. RecWell educates and provides outreach on health topics that impact student well-being, including publication of the popular Stall Seat Journal.
Student Advocates are dedicated to actively listening to students, understanding their concerns, questions or complaints and providing the necessary information to resolve their issues effectively. The mission of Ram Pantry is to ensure food security, human dignity and well-being on campus by providing in-need VCU students with food. To this end, Ram Pantry will collaborate with university and community partners to research and implement innovative approaches to food security and community health. We will do our part to ensure that no student in the VCU community goes hungry and that every student has access to nutritious food.
The VCU Free Store is an on-campus resource for VCU and VCU Health students, faculty and staff that provides equitable access to everyday items like school and art supplies, housewares, electronics and more while reducing waste by keeping usable goods out of landfills.
