Ceremony Details
We’re so excited to celebrate your achievements! The ceremony will be livestreamed for graduates and guests who prefer to attend virtually, and a full recording will be shared with all graduates after commencement.

Guest tickets are not required for this event. Guest seating will open at 6:00 p.m.
Guests should plan ahead to ensure time for parking and seating.
All graduates participating in person should arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to check in and take their place in the processional lines. Guests may begin seating as early as 6:00 p.m.
Parking for graduates and guests will be available for free in the West Broad Street parking deck.
Graduates and/or guests who do not wish to attend in person may view the livestream starting at 7:00 p.m. We will share the commencement livestream link in the days leading up to the ceremony.
Yes. All students who wish to attend the School of Business Commencement Ceremony must register through the link sent to their VCU email address by March 31. If you did not receive this invite, please email busceremony@vcu.edu.
Please note, applying to graduate does NOT automatically register you to attend the School of Business Commencement Ceremony.
At the School of Business ceremony, students graduating with a degree from the School of Business will cross the stage and be recognized individually. At the universitywide ceremony, all students are welcome and will be recognized collectively by school. Business students are welcome to attend both, either or neither of the ceremonies.
Regalia will be available for purchase at the Barnes & Noble @ VCU on the Monroe Park and MCV campuses until graduation day.
If you are unable to attend Grad Fair or visit Barnes & Noble @ VCU, please order your regalia online at balfour.com/vcu.

Students should meet with their academic advisor to ensure they are on track to graduate and make sure to complete a graduation application. Registering to attend the School of Business Commencement ceremony is not the same as applying to graduate.

Larry Holman
Wine Industry Executive (retired)
Larry Holman, a 1979 graduate of the VCU School of Business and trustee of the VCU School of Business Foundation, built a distinguished career in the global wine and beverage industry.
He held senior leadership roles at E. & J. Gallo Winery, Diageo and Constellation Brands before leading fine wine producers Cline Family Cellars and Michael David Winery. Today, Holman advises wineries internationally and mentors emerging leaders across the industry.
Diploma and Degree Details
For May 2025 graduates, diplomas will be mailed starting June 30, 2025.
VCU now offers certified digital diplomas (CeDiplomas). You’ll receive an email from CeCredentialTrust with a download link when available, and digital diplomas can be downloaded beginning June 30, 2025.
The official conferral date for May 2025 degrees is May 17, 2025. Degrees will be posted to graduates' transcripts on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, for students who have satisfied all degree requirements and received final approvals.
Before requesting official transcripts, be sure to check your academic transcript in eServices to confirm your degree has posted.
Photography
As each graduate is handed their diploma, a picture will be taken by a professional photographer with Photo Specialties. If you agreed to have your contact information shared, a free color proof and password for online viewing will be sent to your current mailing address. You are under no obligation to purchase prints.
To receive an email notification the moment your photos are online, please visit the Photo Specialties website to register. If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, contact info@photospecialties.com or call (800) 722-7033.
