About Today's Speaker

Pamela Kiecker Royall headshotPamela Kiecker Royall, Ph.D. 
Head of Research, EAB


Pamela Kiecker Royall, Ph.D., is a national higher education researcher and former VCU marketing professor.

A Minnesota native, she holds degrees from Carleton College, Minnesota State University and the University of Colorado Boulder. Royall joined VCU in 1996, chaired the Department of Marketing and founded the Interactive Marketing Institute before building a prolific research career.

She now serves as head of research for EAB’s Marketing and Enrollment Solutions division, leading national survey programs that have reached over 2 million students, families, educators and enrollment leaders.

In Richmond, Royall and her late husband, Bill Royall, established Try-Me, an uptown art space featuring contemporary works from their collection, and she has supported arts organizations across the region while serving on multiple boards. She is a trustee of Virginia Union University and Carleton College and chairs the Advisory Board for the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU.

Photography

As each graduate is handed their diploma, a picture will be taken by a professional photographer with Photo Specialties. If you agreed to have your contact information shared, a free color proof and password for online viewing will be sent to your current mailing address. You are under no obligation to purchase prints.

To receive an email notification the moment your photos are online, please visit the Photo Specialties website to register. If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, contact info@photospecialties.com or call (800) 722-7033.

Diploma and Degree Details

For December 2025 graduates, diplomas will be mailed beginning February 27, 2026.

VCU now offers certified digital diplomas (CeDiplomas). You’ll receive an email from CeCredentialTrust with a download link when available, and digital diplomas can be downloaded beginning Feb. 27, 2026.

The official conferral date for December 2025 degrees is Dec. 20, 2025. Degrees will be posted to graduates' transcripts on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, for students who have satisfied all degree requirements and received final approvals.

Before requesting official transcripts, be sure to check your academic transcript in eServices to confirm your degree has posted.
