Accelerated B.S. to M.S.C.M.

Earn a Bachelor's and Master of Supply Chain Management in as little as five years.

The accelerated B.S. and M.S.C.M. program allows qualified students to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management and a Master of Supply Chain Management in as few as five years. Through this pathway, students may take up to 12 approved graduate credits during their junior and senior years that count toward both degrees—reducing the total required credits from 150 to 138.

Graduates of the program are well-positioned for careers in corporate and government supply chain roles, equipped with advanced skills in data analytics, leadership and global supply chain strategy.

Program Eligibility and Declaration

Students interested in the accelerated program are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor early to review eligibility and planning. To pursue this option, students must submit an Accelerated Program Declaration Form no later than the spring semester of junior year (two semesters prior to graduating). Final approval is subject to program capacity.

Academic Expectations

Students accepted into the accelerated program are held to graduate-level academic standards, including maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA. Ongoing advising is provided by both an undergraduate academic adviser and a graduate faculty advisor to ensure successful progress toward both degrees.

Graduate Program Admission

Approval to take shared graduate courses through the accelerated program does not guarantee admission to the graduate program. Students must formally apply to the M.S.C.M. program through Graduate Admissions no later than the fall semester of their senior year.

To continue into the graduate portion of the program after conferral of the bachelor’s degree, students must meet all admission requirements outlined in the VCU Graduate Bulletin.
