Post-baccalaureate certificate in accounting
Prepare for the CPA exam and earn the credits needed for licensure in Virginia with a post-baccalaureate certificate in accounting. This program is designed for bachelor's degree holders interested in changing careers or gaining expertise in accounting.
As a certificate student, you'll take classes alongside undergraduate students in the VCU School of Business. You'll have access to all the benefits of being a VCU student, including career fairs and networking opportunities, outstanding libraries and study spaces and student organizations.
Curriculum
The certificate program requires a maximum of 48 credit hours, divided evenly into two categories: accounting and general business. Students can choose from a variety of business electives to round out their studies.
Day and evening classes are available, and students may attend on a full- or part-time basis. The program is also offered fully online. Credit may be granted for prior business coursework.
