Teaching Interests: Jay believes the application of learning determines our capacity for success - therefore his teaching interests in the field of entrepreneurship is focused on applied content in order to build entrepreneurial capacity.

Jay is an experienced facilitator, scholar, and speaker on a wide range of topics including personal development, entrepreneurship, and the fields of leadership and leadership development. Jay currently serves as the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Executive Director of Entrepreneurship Programs. Leveraging his experience as an entrepreneur and leader, he designs curriculum, teaches entrepreneurship, leads the program’s development activities and strategy, and in partnership with the Ford Fund is architecting the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy in the Middle East and Africa. He is also appointed by the Governor of Virginia as a member of the Virginia Council for Youth Entrepreneurship charged with developing a culture of entrepreneurship for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Finally, Jay is a practicing entrepreneur and has founded several startup ventures.
