This highly interactive two-day workshop will:

  • Introduce and support practice using Design Thinking tools and methods that support community-engaged entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on empathy and co-creation;
  • Explore non-traditional methods to connect with a range of stakeholders and apply those new learnings to personal business endeavors;
  • Empower participants to clarify their visions, and refine their products and services to strengthen their business propositions and deliver increased value to their communities.

  • Communicate the value of including customers, stakeholders, and other users in designing and/or refining a business concept, launch plan, and implementation strategy;
  • Describe, select, and use multiple tools and methods for customer discovery and engagement to develop business products, services and/or strategies that reflect their voice and empower the community;
  • Design and lead a collaborative ideation session involving stakeholders to ensure business products, services and/or strategies meet their desires and needs;
  • Develop an individual strategy that includes multiple newly learned customer engagement tools and methods for use in their home communities.
