This one-day program offers insight into the five generations currently in the workplace.

For the first time in history, we now have FIVE generations working under one roof. Whether you have 20 something’s or 70 somethings or everything in between, this session will help you better understand Traditionalists, Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and the just emerging on the scene - Generation Z.

Too often we default to generation stereotypes like “Millennials feel entitled” or “Baby Boomers have no work-life balance” or “Generation X are cynics” or “Traditionalists are adverse to technology”.

In today’s competitive marketplace for talent and business, we can’t afford to waste the gifts and perspectives of every single generation. In this interactive workshop you  will take a deeper look and move beyond the stereotypes, separate truth from myth and find ways to better understand and work together inside your organization and to better serve your customers.

Participants will learn:

  • What events shaped each generation’s world (and work) view?
  • What motivates and de-motivates them?
  • What are their strengths and challenges?
  • Generational Myths and Stereotypes that can get in the way
  • Engage in constructive conversations with people from other generations
  • Strategies for bridging the generational divide at work, home and with customers

Audience:
Managers, supervisors, individuals and work teams who want to enhance their own effectiveness and the functioning of their organization in profit, non-profit and government settings. Work teams and cross-section of generations from organizations are encouraged to attend together for added impact.
