This one-day workshop is great for managers, supervisors and leaders who want to strengthen their skills and empower their staff.

You’ll learn a structured approach to coaching that can be applied to common workplace situations. By attending this session, participants will be better able to:

  • Learn to distinguish when to use coaching vs other approaches
  • Gain two important coaching skills that results in effectively connecting with and empowering others
  • Discover how your coaching skills can affect communication, collaboration, leadership, consensus-building and client service
  • Work on the four most common situations that benefit from coaching and learn how to approach each
  • Practice coaching other participants about real challenges

Fee: $395 due in full at registration. A 10% discount is available at registration to anyone who registers before Aug. 10, 2019, as well as to VCU alumni and VCU/VCUHS employees. Discounts can not be combined, and are provided at registration. 

Cost includes breakfast, lunch, parking and all materials.

 

CPE credits: 8 CPEs in the Personnel/Human Resources field are available with this class. There are no prerequisites or advanced preparation needed to participate in this course. This session is a group live format. Participants must attend entire course to earn certificate of completion. This course is appropriate for any leader or manager seeking to better coach his/her employees.
