You may have a particular interest in international business (check out our international management certificate program or the international management track in the management concentration). You may be preparing for the many careers today’s graduates can expect to have over the span of their careers. Or you may just want to be a better manager and colleague.
VCU offers many different ways to study abroad and get credit at VCU, including programs led by VCU faculty, international student exchanges, VCU partnership institution exchanges, non-VCU programs offered by other institutions abroad, and an independent semester abroad experience. Our International Consulting Program offers an opportunity to tackle real problems for international companies all while you earn 6 credits in only 6 weeks.
Many students think they cannot afford a study abroad experience. VCU offers many affordable opportunities, including short-stay experiences (1-3 weeks) and exchange programs in which you pay your VCU tuition while studying at an international institution. In addition, scholarships specially reserved for the study abroad experience are available.
An Education Abroad Office advisor in the Office of International Education will assist you in planning an experience that meets your expectations and your budget, and your academic advisor in the School of Business will ensure that you stay on track for graduation.
