The Post-baccalaureate Undergraduate Certificate in Real Estate and Urban Land Development is designed for persons who already have earned a baccalaureate degree in fields other than real estate and land development, yet do not wish to work toward a graduate degree in this field. Aspiring real estate brokers are required to take four of the 10 courses to satisfy their broker educational requirements. By taking only six additional courses, real estate agents will have the opportunity to increase their business and managerial proficiency through a cohesive program of study at the university level. The certificate program is popular for other professionals, such as appraisers or mortgage lenders, who wish to enter a coordinated real estate studies program.
A minimum of 30 semester credit hours must be earned in satisfying this certificate requirement, with a minimum of 24 semester hours of study required at VCU.
