  • Tuition and Financial Aid
  • Tuition:

The tuition for the Class of 2014 is $35,000*, start to finish. This includes:

    • tuition and fees for the entire program
    • books and other reading materials
    • access to Forrester Research, Gartner, and other resources
    • parking
    • meals on class weekends
    • travel expenses for international trip**
    • other incidental expenses

FTEMS students are graduate students in every sense of the word and enjoy student privileges such as gym access and free admission to athletic events.

*Although there is no out of state tuition differential, international students may be required to pay additional fees. See VCU's Global Education Office site for more information.

Students coming from outside the Richmond Metropolitan area can pay a lodging fee for overnight lodging on class weekends. Lodging is provided by the Jefferson Hotel.

**Standard travel expenses (air fare from Richmond to destination and back, lodging) for the trip are included with the tuition. Special visa fees or other expenses are the individual student's responsibility.

    VCU/VCUHS Employees

VCU tuition waver will pay the standard graduate per credit hour rate for six credit hours per semester. This program runs over four semesters. You are responsible for the difference in the tuition, unless your department head wishes to make other arrangements.

    Financial Aid:

Making the investment in your continuing education may be more affordable than you think. The VCU Office of Financial Aid is available to help students obtain the necessary resources to pursue their educational goals.

For our students, and most graduate students, aid generally takes the form of student loans. Depending on your specific circumstances, financial aid may cover up to 90% of the entire cost of the FTEMS program, and tuition may be tax deductible.  The first step is to fill out the FAFSA form, which will determine your federal financial aid. Click here for additional information on the financial aid process.

    Scholarships:

There are currently no scholarships that have been set aside specifically for FTEMS students. However, if you find a scholarship for which you are eligible, you may apply that towards your FTEMS tuition.
