How to Apply
To apply, submit the VCU application with all required supplemental materials, including:

- A $75 nonrefundable application fee
- Application for Virginia In-State Tuition (if applicable)
- Transcripts from each college/university attended
- A statement of intent
- A current resume
- Three letters of recommendation
- Submitting a GMAT or GRE score for consideration is optional
- International applicants shall submit one of the following to meet the English proficiency requirement:
- TOEFL score of 100
- IELTS score of 6.5
- Duolingo score of 120
- Pearson Test of English score of 65

Statement of intent
All master’s and post-baccalaureate graduate certificate programs require a statement of intent. We recommend a statement between one-and-a-half and two pages long, describing your accomplishments, goals and reasons for applying.

Tuition
Our Evening MBA program follows VCU’s graduate tuition and fees structure. Your cost will depend on your residency and enrollment status, as detailed on our admission page. For billing and payment questions, contact VCU Student Accounting.

Yes! Our MBA draws students from a wide variety of academic disciplines, as well as a wide variety of work settings. We have students in our MBA that have studied engineering, fine arts, social sciences - to name a few, as well as students that have studied business. We welcome all undergraduate majors to apply!
Classes are held on weekday evenings, Monday through Thursday. Most courses meet once a week from 7-9:40 p.m. while fewer meet twice a week from 5:30-6:45 p.m. We do not offer any day-time courses for this program.
We know students pursue their MBA for a variety of reasons, which is why we offer career-focused experiences and comprehensive support to help students reach their potential and excel in their chosen fields. MBA students have access to a wealth of professional development resources, as well as dedicated, personalized graduate advising – a few highlights among many other resources that are available to support graduate students across VCU’s campus!
Yes! Each semester, students determine their course load to accommodate work/life balance. With courses offered on weekday evenings, the day is open for working professionals to continue to remain employed while enrolled in our graduate program. This program offers a flexible pace, with the option to enroll full-time (3-4 courses/9-12 credits) or part-time (1-2 courses/3-6 credits) each semester. Each semester, students determine their course load to accommodate work/life balance.
Yes! The Master of Business Administration program offers 10 optional concentrations including brand leadership, business analytics, corporate finance, entrepreneurship and innovation, global business, health care management, information resource management, investments, real estate, and supply chain management. A concentration is not required; in lieu of a concentration, students may opt to take any 3 approved electives. All possible electives are not guaranteed to be offered in both an online and in person format.
