The Thalhimer Family Endowment was established in 1984 by Charles G. Thalhimer, Sr. to support VCU. This fund and the Thalhimer family continue to underwrite important programs at VCU and especially programs at the VCU School of Business.
The Scholar-in-Residence program brings distinguished scholars from other Universities to the VCU campus for up to two days of activities. The program provides an opportunity for prominent scholars who are experts in their fields to engage with our students in both small and large group settings. Designed to give students and faculty an interactive experience, the Scholar-in-Residence program also provides a forum for alumni, Richmond’s business community and industry professionals to gain valuable insights into a variety of academic topics and their relevant real world applications.
In addition to the Thalhimer Scholar-in-Residence program, the Thalhimer Family Endowment sponsors the annual Thalhimer Executive-in-Residence program and provides a full tuition scholarship for two outstanding School of Business students each year.
